Bridge over the River Valladar

Bridge over the River Valladar

A historic 20th-century bridge with a metal girder and ashlar abutments; it is well-preserved and rare due to its original structure.
Built in the early years of the 20th century, it consists of a metal girder resting on masonry abutments and side walls of ashlar masonry. All its original features are preserved in good condition. It was taken out of service following the construction of an overpass over the railway line at kilometre marker 166+900 on the N-II. Bridges of this type are now rare, as those that have remained in service have usually been replaced by concrete slabs.
