N-V Road: Almaraz–Torrecillas de la Tiesa
Puente del Cardenal or Jaraicejo
A historic 15th-century bridge with nine ashlar arches, a central pavilion and an access ramp to the riverbed, designated a Site of Cultural Interest in 2019.
Closely linked to transhumance, its construction began in the 15th century and was completed in 1639. It consists of nine ashlar arches with spans ranging from 8.30 m to 12.15 m. All are semicircular except for the second, which is slightly lowered, and the third, which is segmental.
It features a central pavilion and a ramp, perpendicular to the deck, which starts opposite the pavilion and provides access to the riverbed. It was declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2019.
