On the bypass built between Valverde del Júcar and Hontecillas to replace the section flooded by the Alarcón reservoir, the remains of a road workers’ hut can still be seen. Given its architectural style, it is one of a number built during the works carried out under the Modernisation Plan, and dates from the same period as the construction of the reservoir.
